| Usefulness: |
This game is quite good for younger children who are just learning numbers, letters, and simple vocabulary. The object of the game is to use your finger to connect the dots, which can be labeled as numbers or letters, in the correct order. After connecting all of the dots, the outline of different images (like a bear or guitar) are formed and materialize into the image itself. Once completed, a voice recording congratulates your child with encouraging messages and says what the image is. The voice recording also announces the dots as you connect them, which can help your child learn numbers or letters depending on which you choose. THere are several different puzzles to complete and they are not very difficult. There seems to be more valuable use for learning numbers and letters than for actually solving the puzzles. There were no advertisements, so it seems very child-friendly. There is a paid version of the application that offers more features. This simple but educational game is great for younger children. For children over the age of four or five, it might be entertaining for a little while but it seems like it could quickly get boring. Overall, this application is a simple puzzle game that aids in learning letters, numbers, and vocabulary for younger children. |
