Usefulness:

The Baby Piano Lite application is a fun and simple educational entertainment tool targeted towards children under the age of three. It offers a simple design with bright colors and child-friendly animal imagery. The Lite (free) version of this app includes a colorful piano with seven keys, each featuring a different animal. It also offers three songs that can be taught be playing along, a free-play mode in which you can record a song and play it back, and a way to toggle on and off animal noises to accompany the notes on each key.

The paid version of this application adds another key, another play mode, more recording options, and ten total songs to learn and play. Despite the extra features in the paid app, the free version seems to be interesting enough to entertain most infants and toddlers, if only for a brief moment.

This app is useful because it can provide entertainment for children, as well as being a tool that can be used to help develop a child's hand-eye coordination and teach colors, notes, animal sounds, and basic songs.

The app seemed to worked relatively well and the sound came out clearly. It reacted well to repetitive touches and it did not slow down or lag when I pressed the keys fast or at the same time. Depending on how protective you are with your tablet or phone should inform how much supervision/guidance you provide to your child while using this app because there is some risk of damaging your device because of the pounding nature of a piano toy.

Ease of Use:

This app is simple to use and has large buttons and keys to make it easy for a small child to navigate, especially on a tablet. The volume can be controlled easily through your device's controls outside of the application. The app closes quickly if you press the back navigation bar. Overall, it is very easy for adults and children to use.

Value:

This application has a good value for being a free educational toy and should be sufficient enough for mild entertainment of most children without having to purchase the full version.
